Barn 'n' Bunk Farm Market

A straw maze is one of the main attractions at this family-owned farm market off Ohio 73 near Trenton. The market hosts its annual Fall Festival each weekend leading up to Halloween, with specialty crafts, Amish baked goods available. Children's activities include face painting, horse-drawn hayrides and games. Pumpkins are also available for sale.

Every weekend in October, the farm holds its annual Fall Festival. Activities include hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a farm-themed kids' play area with featuring egg throw, pumpkin pitch, corn box, swinging farm gate, corn stalk tunnels and lots more. The farm's market offers hand-dipped caramel apples, fresh pressed local cider, fresh popcorn, and Ohio apples. Take a walk down Scarecrow Alley and pick up some decorations for your yard. Admission to the farm is free. There will be a storyteller on Oct. 9 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults. On Oct. 16, the storyteller will tell stories by a bonfire starting at 7 p.m. Admission for thie event is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Children under age 3 are admitted free.

More than 35 varieties of pumpkins are on display and available for purchase. Admission is $6.50 per person (children ages 3 and under are admitted free) and includes access to a petting barn with goats, donkeys, horses and other animals; a corn maze; a fishing pond; horseshoes; and a farmyard play area. Brumbaugh Fruit Farm

Billing itself as "Darke County's only agricultural playground," Brumbaugh Fruit Farm features children's activities like the "Kinda Kooky Korn Maze," the "Willy Worm Ride," the "Enchanted Goat Fort," "Storybook Forest" and "Monster Mountain." Admission is $5. Children ages 3 and under, and senior citizens (ages 63 and over) are admitted free. The farm is located mile west of Arcanum.

The Cincinnati Railway Company conducts these fun-filled train excursions between Lebanon Station and the Schappacher Family Farm near Mason. Each trip lasts approximately two hours, including a 45-minute layover at the farm, which features a corn maze, petting zoo and concession stand with various farm and craft products. Cost is $15 for adults, $13 for children, infants free. Advance ticket purchase is available.

Handmade displays featuring pumpkin characters and hayrides, plus bluegrass music on the weekends. Hands-on entertainment for children, including Aladdin's Castle, a Cinderella coach, face painting and an interactive playground. Tractor-drawn and horse-drawn hayrides are available on the weekends. Scheduled field trips are also available.

The highlight of the fall calendar at this farm is the annual "October on the Farm" festival, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival features pumpkin painting, face painting, pony rides, hayrides, crafts, apple bobbing and other activities. The farm also has a four-acre corn maze, available during regular hours or by appointment.

Tom's Maze and Pumpkin Farm

Young's Jersey Dairy Farm

(937) 325-0629  This working dairy farm welcomes pumpkin-picking season with its annual Fall Farm Festival on Oct. 2-3. The following four weekends there will be haunted wagon rides each
